LOMPOC HEALTHCARE DISTRICT
Lompoc’s healthcare district was formed in 1956, and has since grown. Healthcare in Lompoc has become one of the major industries in town, offering employment for a large number of residents. Lompoc’s healthcare district is a community based healthcare organization that includes inpatient, outpatient and long-term healthcare services. Facilities in the district include:
  • A new hospital, Lompoc Valley Medical Center, completed in 2011, features state-of-the-art emergency, critical- care, surgical, cardiopulmonary and laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, general acute care, a birthing center, and perioperative, pharmacy and physical rehabilitation care.

  • A Comprehensive Care Center offers a variety of rehabilitation and nursing services since 1975. The CCC is comprised of physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide physical, social and emotional assistance to residents.

  • The Champion Center is a partnership between the Lompoc Healthcare District and Addiction Medicine Services, Inc. The Champion Center is a newly remodeled 43,000 square foot facility designed for chemical dependency treatment and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It offers detoxification services, a full continuum of care, the Heroes Program, and outpatient partial hospitalization and treatment services.

  • An Imaging Center, Professional X-Ray, offers an alternative location for all types of imaging and professional x-ray needs.

  • Psychiatry Service is provided by Lompoc Valley Medical Center and offers service to treat an array of emotional and mental disorders, as well as addiction.

  • Hematology-Oncology Service is a separate office specializing in Oncology and Hematology and creates individualized treatment programs for patients.

  • Outpatient Surgical Service, a component of the surgeon’s practice where surgeons are able to provide pre-and post-operative consultative visits.

  • Sleep Disorder Center, a privately owned company that works with healthcare in Lompoc to administer sleep studies in comfortable and welcoming rooms for patients that stray away from the feel of a sleep laboratory.

  • Coastal Radiation Oncology Medical Group opened the doors to the Lompoc Radiation Oncology Center in 2016. The state-of-the-art facility includes low- and high-energy machines to treat both skin cancers as well as deeper cancers.
Lompoc is also home to a multitude of additional healthcare providers to offer residents a variety of options. Providers include Sansum Clinic, Community Health Centers, Valley Medical Group, Lompoc Health Care Center, along with many others.
