The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite all players, coaches, parents and basketball enthusiasts to come and enjoy the 25th Annual Girls Youth Basketball Tournament. This tournament is rich in tradition with having coaches that have participated since the tournament began.
The tournament offers two divisions “Open” & “Recreation’ which allows all levels of athletes to participate. Girls 3rd through 8th grade are eligible to play in the three day event against other teams throughout the state. The tournament has averaged 40 to 50 teams the past few years and we anticipate those numbers to rise. Teams as far north as Oakland and south of Redondo Beach participate in a guaranteed 3 games for the weekend and possibly more. This years tournament, like every other year, will be the 3rd weekend of March, which is the 17th, 18th and 19th of 2006.
