Lompoc Kiwanis Club Track and Field Competition

The Lompoc Parks, Recreation and Urban Forestry Department had over 350 participants in this years Kiwanis Track & Field Championships. There were boy's and girl's competing in running and field events in the 3rd through 8th grade divisions. We had schools and individuals participating from all over the central coast competing to make this one of the premier events in the area. There were a few local standouts: Alicia Tullis 3/4 grade (1st Place - 50 yard dash), Antonio Drouilliard 3/4 grade (1st Place - 50 yard dash) both From La Canada and LVMS Jose Delosrios 5/6 grade (1st Place - 880 yard dash), VMS Kaleb Mickens 7/8 grade(1st Place - 100 yard dash). We would also like to thank the Lompoc High School Track & Field team for leading all the events. They did a great job as well as the other volunteer coaches from the local elementary schools. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE KIWANIS FOR THEIR SPONSORSHIP!!! Please check the web site for next years event.
