Employment Opportunities

The Lompoc Police Department provides many different types of full-time and part-time job opportunities.

The Lompoc Police Department is authorized 51 sworn full-time police officers. Some examples of police officer assignments are: Traditional Patrol, Motorcycle/Traffic Enforcement, Detectives, K-9, D.A.R.E., Narcotics, and Special Enforcement Team (SET).

The police officers are supported by the following full-time employees; 2 civilian supervisors, 9 Dispatchers, 4 Jailers, 5 Community Service Officers, and 6 Office Staff Assistants, and 4 interns.

The Lompoc Police Department could not complete its mission without the contribution of its part-time employees. Part-time employees serve as Reserve Police Officers, Dispatcher/Jailers, Office Staff Assistants, Community Services Officers, Crossing Guards, and Language Interpreters (Spanish, Hmong, & Sign Language).
