Our City of Lompoc Public Works Department and our Utilities Department are celebrating the 2017 National Public Works Week theme “Public Works Connects Us” by connecting with the community through mobile artwork!
All ages are encouraged to participate in our City of Lompoc Mobile Mural Contest by submitting their original artistic interpretation of the theme “Public Works Connects Us”. Get creative with your acrylics, crayons, oils, pencils, and watercolors!
Submit an entry as a group or an individual. Winners will be selected from various age groups based on creativity, originality, quality and adherence to the theme. Up to (8) pieces of artwork will be selected on May 23, 2017 to be displayed on the side of our new refuse trucks for up to a year, and (1) of those will be chosen for our Public Works “Hall of Fame” to be hung in a designated location.
