DESCRIPTION:<p>The Lompoc Youth Commission is proud to announce the 10<sup>th</sup> Annual TOTAL (Teaching Our Teens As Leaders) Conference, which is scheduled for <b>Mon. Feb. 12<sup>th</sup> </b>at the <b>Dick DeWees Community &amp; Senior Center.</b>&nbsp;</p><p>TOTAL is a teen leadership conference open to all junior high and high school students.&nbsp; The keynote speaker and breakout sessions are designed to teach, motivate, empower, energize and inspire participants.&nbsp;</p><p>The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. with check-in and a light breakfast, with the program beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 1:30 p.m.&nbsp; The day includes breakfast, lunch, and breakout sessions. This year’s keynote speaker is Lasada Pippen is a top-rated speaker that motivates and inspires through stories that help others focus on being “better and not bitter”. There will be additional presentations provided by Blooming Energy, Surf Connection, Chuck Madson of Future for Lompoc Youth along with others.&nbsp;</p><p>Pre-registration is recommended prior to the event. Registration fees are $10 per student and scholarships are available on a request basis. Registration is available by phone at 805-875-8100, or at the Anderson Recreation Center, 125 West Walnut Ave. during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5pm.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>Registration can also be completed online at: <a href="http://www.cityoflompoc.com/recreation">www.cityoflompoc.com/recreation</a>. </p><p>&nbsp;</p>
