LOMPOC, CA, Dec. 6, 2022 – The City of Lompoc is pleased to share that several national retail stores have recently come to the city or are expected to arrive soon.

The Big Lots store received its certificate of occupancy with the city’s building division and is open for business.  The store is located within the existing Palm Square shopping center located at 1009 North H St.

Last month, the City of Lompoc Planning Commission approved the Architectural Design/Site Development Review & Preliminary Development Plan (DR 22-04) to allow demolition of an existing approximately 13,800-square-foot multi-tenant retail building and the construction of a 27,000 square foot Smart & Final retail building on 2.52 acres within the existing Palm Square shopping center located at 1025 North H St. Smart & Final in Lompoc is anticipated to open for business in November 2023.

In addition, An Old Navy store is currently under review with the city’s building division.  The store will be in the existing Lompoc shopping center located at 725 North H St.

Principal Planner Greg Stones said the Big Lots store opening and upcoming projects are exciting developments for Lompoc.
